Yantai Penglai International Airport officially started construction on December 26, 2009, successfully flew in November 2014, and officially opened on May 28, 2015. The airport has a domestic and international terminal area of 90000 square meters, an apron area of 400000 square meters, a runway length of 3400 meters, and 39 parking stands, which can meet the safe takeoff and landing of large aircraft such as Boeing 747.
